LaTeX is a document markup language for TeX typesetting program widely used by researchers in academia all around. The typesetting system offers extensive facilities for automating most aspects of typesetting including numbering and cross-referencing, tables and figures, page layout and bibliographies.

QEC/Learning Centre Organized a" Hands-on workshop on LateX" with Collaboration of Department of Physics  on 30th-August, 2015 at 11:00am to 01:00pm  in Conference Room of Civil Engineering, Raiwing Road Campus  UOL.

The proposed hands-on session on LaTeX will cover the basics of the software, focusing on writing thesis and research papers according to the different formats. The session will start with one hour lecture, followed by one hour interactive training session for participants to learn the software and practice it.

About the Speaker: Ms. Rabia Aslam is a lecturer in Physics at the University of Lahore. She did her BS in Physics from LUMS School of Science and Engineering, and Masters in Biomedical Engineering from KU Leuven, Belgium as an Erasmus Scholar. Her research interests include Biophysical models and medical imaging systems.
